Aryaman has several years of experience teaching piano to both complete beginners and experienced students, from young children to adults. He graduated with distinction from the prestigious Eastman School of Music in Piano Performance with top grades in accompanying and teaching. Primarily his experience with preparing students for exams has been with ABRSM but he is also happy to prepare students for Trinity, and just as happy to teach without the aim of taking exams at all. Much of his teaching philosophy is centred on creating well rounded musicians rather than technical pianists, and to focus on the process and experience of learning rather than on the end product. This involves learning the basics of improvising, learning about chord progressions, developing the ear and above all learning to have fun at the keyboard.
